P.O.W.E.R.

This new program from the University of Florida and Shands Vista is a 12-day program in which the participants are immersed in changing their behavior and their lives. Michael Herkov, PhD, is the lead professional guiding participants toward success in maneuvering through challenging stressful life situations. The complexities of modern society create unique stressors for professionals that can lead to dysfunctional behavior and disruption in the workplace. These negative behaviors interfere with the health and mission of both the professional and the organization. Feedback from the participants included:

  • "The Best! Prior to this, I have had little support to change my behavior."
  • "I have learned great tools for communicating more effectively"
  • "This program opens up the "can" and rebuilds body, mind and spirit".

We are excited with the positive community reception for this new program - and the ongoing growth opportunities for Shands Vista as we present this program to a wider national audience.
