The UF & Shands HealthCare Consultation Center is a centralized referral center for new patients and physicians. The center can put you in direct contact with the healthcare provider's practice of your choice.  A customer service representative can assist you in finding a physician.

Referring physicians

Our service representatives have access telephone numbers for University of Florida College of Medicine faculty who practice at Shands at UF.

Referring physicians can update the information that the Shands HealthCare Consultation Center uses to ease the patient transfer process and distribute information. E-mail your updated address and phone/fax numbers to us.

Hours of operation

The UF & Shands Consultation Center is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The center is not open on holidays.

After-hours, non-urgent messages are taken by our in-house answering service. Urgent requests are handled immediately by Shands at UF operators.

For your patients

The consultation center also provides new patient appointment service. Your patients can call 352.265.0943 for information on scheduling or following up on a new patient appointment between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
