How can I contact a patient at Shands? You can send a message to a patient at Shands at UF, Shands at AGH, Shands at Lake Shore and Shands at Starke through CareMail. Enter the patient’s name, your name and a message to have it delivered to the patient by Volunteer Services with the regular mail. Your message will be treated confidentially. The visitor parking garages are located on the west end and east end of the hospital on Mowry Road and Newell Drive. The fee for parking is $3 per day. Parking is free in the garages and metered lots adjacent to the hospital for patients with state-issued handicapped permits. Shuttles are available Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 8:45 p.m. to transport you from the garages to the hospital. Valet parking is also available Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. The valet parking booth is located along the curb by the east entrance of the hospital. The cost is $5 per day per car and $3 per day per car for those with handicapped permits. If the valet service is used more than once per day, there will be an additional fee.
