How can I contact a patient at Shands? You can send a message to a patient at Shands at UF through CareMail. Enter the patient’s name, your name and a message to have it delivered to the patient by Volunteer Services with the regular mail. Your message will be treated confidentially. The visitor parking garages are located on the west end and east end of the hospital on Mowry Road and Newell Drive. Shands Cancer Hospital parking is on a lot just off the Archer Road entrance and to the left. The fee for parking is $4 per day. This applies to vehicles with state issued handicap permits. Shuttles are available Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 8:45 p.m. to transport you from the garages to the hospital. Valet parking is $6.00 per day and is located at the main entrances of both the Shands UF and Shands Cancer Hospital. Hours of operation are:
Valet is also available for patients of the Critical Care Center, 24 hours. This service is located at the ambulatory entrance of the Critical Care Center (emergency room).
